A large antique mail sorter industrial cubby presents as a robust, multi-compartment shelving unit, with a grid of open slots, crafted from wood, and exuding a vintage industrial character. Blanket chests were boxes and often the sole possession of the early settlers. They were mostly made with six boards of pine.

It has been conditioned with an all natural citrus beeswax.  

This is a large example of an early pine blanket chest. The top lifts up to reveal a large storage compartment for linens.

There is two large drawers below in perfect working order. There is also a drop in board that makes a hidden compartment.  

There is appropriate wear for its age. She still has a lot of character and life left in her. Her patina gives her so much charm.

It has been scrubbed, fine sanded and sealed with 2 coats of sealing Fiddes & Sons Wax for English pine. The drawers are completely constructed using hand dovetail joinery. They have been smooth sanded as well as conditioned with an all natural citrus beeswax.

Did you know that at one time sugar, was a very precious commodity? Back in the early to mid 1800’s, sugar, in fact, was so expensive and prized, it was kept in a locked chest. This furniture was a very functional piece, plain in decor, yet often a symbol of the family’s social status. They were often kept out in plain view, usually in a parlor room or dining room.  Cabinetmakers continued to build sugar chests well into the 1840s, however, as sugar became less expensive its' design and prestige began to change. Once it evolved into a standard fixture, affluent homes began to see the grand presentation of sugar, spices and coffee as passé. They typically range from 28-30" wide, 16-18" deep and 28-30" tall.  The wood on this piece is warm and inviting.  The rustic scrubbed pine has awesome patina and very little wear for its age. It has been strip sanded, fine sanded and finished with a sealing wax specifically for English pine.  The top lifts up to a very large compartment for plenty of storage. The single drawer is constructed by Knapp joinery  and glides easily.  The bottom has a door that opens to a large storage cabinet. A brass lock was added at some point.  The inside of the top and bottom cabinets as well as the inside of the drawer have been conditioned with an all natural citrus beeswax.    This is not a reproduction - it's the real deal. These pieces are a part of our history - finding a new use is essential.  One day it dawned on me that they are the perfect size for a nightstand. have several of these that match - they are the perfect height and function.   The drawer is perfect for eye glasses, lotion, nail file and of course - the remote!! The cabinet below is ideal for extra linens, a throw blanket or your favorite cozy sweaters. The flip top is perfect for your library. Have all your go to reads at your fingertips . This example has 3 drawers with original wooden knobs.  It stands on very unique feet.  The carvings and details are exquisite!!

This antique post office window features a classic wooden frame with a rich, aged patina. The top section displays a black panel with faded, gold lettering that reads "STAMPS," "GENERAL DELIVERY," and "PARCEL POST." Below this, there's a frosted glass pane window that opens up.  It likely served as a privacy barrier while allowing  services to pass through. The overall design reflects a vintage aesthetic, typical of early 20th-century postal service architecture.  The last picture shows the back.  There is a new board on the left that was added to attach to a mailbox cabinet that I also have for sale.  In addition, I have a general store counter in which both pieces can be mounted.

Stunning antique English pine marble top nightstand is ready to grace your home.  There is one drawer convenient for remote and your glasses for nighttime reading.  The door opens to a cabinet with one shelf.  Bun feet were added for height and protection.  The marble is removable for easy transport .   This piece measures 15.5” wide X 14.5” feel X 34.5” tall.  Antique pine has had decades—sometimes centuries—to dry and settle. This natural seasoning makes it more stable and less prone to warping or shrinking than freshly milled pine. Older pine, especially longleaf or yellow pine, often has a tighter grain and a higher proportion of heartwood, which is denser and more resistant to decay. Many antique pieces were built with traditional joinery—dovetails, mortise and tenon—that hold up better than modern fasteners. These methods distribute stress more evenly and resist loosening over time. The aged surface, with its rich patina, not only tells a story but also acts as a kind of protective layer. Minor blemishes blend into the character, making wear less noticeable.
 

Beautiful Oak Commode Cabinet has been completely refinished.  The top has been sanded, stained in Varathane Chestnut and and finished with 2 coats of clear matte poly to add protection.  

The base has been painted in Simply Sage from Heirloom Traditions Paint Co. The original hardware was painted in Champagne gold to compliment the color.  The inside was cleaned sand conditioned with an all natural citrus beeswax.  The drawers are in perfect working order and glide easily.

Howard Miller Esquire II Grandfather Clock in excellent condition is a striking example of late 20th-century American craftsmanship, blending traditional elegance with precision engineering. Here’s a detailed description to help you capture its essence—perfect for a listing, appraisal,   Condition is Excellent — pristine finish, fully functional movement, clear chimes, and no visible wear or damage. Classic pinch-waist silhouette with a stately presence. The case is crafted from select hardwoods and veneers, often finished in rich oak or cherry tones that highlight the grain beautifully. Brass-finished dial with ornate corner spandrels, a moon phase complication, and black Roman numerals. The face is framed by a beveled glass door, adding depth and elegance. German-made cable-driven movement with triple chime options (Westminster, St. Michael, and Whittington). The chimes resonate warmly and clearly, with automatic nighttime shutoff. Polished brass pendulum and matching weight shells, visible through the full-length glass panel. These elements add visual rhythm and mechanical charm. Awesome antique cubby cabinet with vintage porcelain knobs and black iron hatch closure.  It has been refinished - strip sanded, fine sanded and finished with a sealing wax.  The inside was cleaned and conditioned with an all natural citrus beeswax.   The inside has different size cubbies  - so many uses!  It could be a cool office cabinet or a rustic kitchen cabinet.  It’s very sturdy and has many more years left in her.  

This amazing cubby measures 26” wide X 13” deep X 41.5” tall.  

Antique Tiger oak hall seat with mirror is a charming and functional piece of furniture, from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, especially during the Victorian and Edwardian eras. Here’s a detailed description: Crafted from solid oak, specifically "Tiger oak," which refers to oak wood with a dramatic, wavy, flame-like grain pattern (also called quarter-sawn oak). This gives the wood a striking, striped pattern. The base is a seat, with a lift-up lid that reveals storage space inside—perfect for stowing shoes, gloves, or hats. Rising above the seat is a tall back, adorned with decorative carvings such as scrolls, floral motifs, or geometric patterns. Set into the upper portion of the backrest is a beveled mirror, framed by the oak.  The hall seats features sturdy, curved armrests.  There are brass or iron coat hooks mounted on either side of the mirror for hanging coats, hats, or umbrellas. The seat rests on short, turned legs or bracket feet, adding to its stability and style. The piece is both practical and decorative, serving as a welcoming focal point in an entryway or foyer. The tiger oak’s rich, red-brown tones and distinctive grain make it especially eye-catching, while the mirror and storage add everyday utility.

Petite antique oak dresser has been restored and ready for years of service! It was painted in Chiffon Cream chalk paint.  The paint was sanded smooth, lightly distressed to let the original color through and finished with 2 coats of clear enamel for protection. It has original hardware.  There is an attached towel bar that screws into the back.  There are 2 bars to hang tea towels, scarves, etc. The drawers are all in working order and glide easily.  The insides of the drawers were given a fresh coat of Heirloom Traditions Paint in Putty.  The exterior sides of the drawers were stenciled to match in a boho pattern.  The entire piece was cleaned and conditioned with all natural beeswax.  This piece measures 36” wide X 18” deep x 45” tall overall (24” at counter height.
