Blanket chests were boxes and often the sole possession of the early settlers. They were mostly made with six boards of pine.

It has been conditioned with an all natural citrus beeswax.  

This is a large example of an early pine blanket chest. The top lifts up to reveal a large storage compartment for linens.

There is two large drawers below in perfect working order. There is also a drop in board that makes a hidden compartment.  

There is appropriate wear for its age. She still has a lot of character and life left in her. Her patina gives her so much charm.

 This antique plantation desk is a commanding piece of 19th-century craftsmanship, blending utility with refined artistry. Constructed from solid hardwood, its slant-front writing surface opens to reveal a series of small cubbies and drawers, once used to organize correspondence, ledgers, and household accounts. The upper cabinet doors are fitted with original wavy glass panes, their subtle ripples catching and bending light in a way only hand-blown glass of the period can, adding depth and authenticity to the piece. Below, the drawers are joined with hand-cut dovetails, a hallmark of skilled cabinetmaking that speaks to its durability and artisanal quality.

The desk’s proportions are generous yet balanced, with paneled sides, bracket feet, and a mellow patina that has developed over generations of use. Its presence evokes the plantation era, when such desks served as both practical workstations and symbols of status within the household. Today, it stands as a rare survivor of early American furniture tradition—functional, elegant, and steeped in history—offering not only storage and workspace but also a tangible connection to the craftsmanship and daily life of the past.

The four full-width drawers are joined with hand-cut dovetails, their irregular spacing and tool marks a testament to early craftsmanship. The top door has a serpentine curve that extends over the others. Each drawer is adorned with carved acorn pulls—whimsical yet refined, their rounded forms and leafy stems echoing nature’s quiet abundance. The pulls, likely hand-carved, add a sculptural touch that elevates the dresser’s humble silhouette.

A refined embodiment of Victorian grace, this antique dresser is crafted from solid walnut, its surface glowing with a deep, chocolatey patina and subtle feathered grain. The silhouette is stately yet romantic, with gently rounded corners, carved accents, and a commanding presence that anchors any room with quiet authority.

The top is crowned with a slab of original marble—typically white or gray with soft veining—cool to the touch and beautifully aged. It offers a luminous contrast to the warmth of the walnut below, and serves as a pristine stage for toiletries, candlesticks, or seasonal décor.

Below, the dresser features three to four drawers, each joined with hand-cut dovetails and adorned with period-appropriate hardware—brass pulls aged to a mellow sheen. The drawers glide smoothly, bearing the marks of time and use.

The mirror, unattached but original, is framed in matching walnut with carved flourishes or a gently arched crest. It can be mounted or leaned, offering flexibility in styling and placement.
